One of the largest outdoor Asian food festivals in the country takes over Library Square (200 E 400 S) in downtown Salt Lake City for three days: 300-plus street-food vendors, handicraft stalls, live performances, and the famous giant inflatable panda. The historic mill village on 7800 South in West Jordan fills with hundreds of witches for the season's longest-running Halloween celebration: witch-themed shopping, the scarecrow trail, storybook strolls, and Witchapalooza dinner theater shows on select nights. October is the peak month, with free Witches' Night Out evenings on Oct 10, 17, and 24 (6-9 p.m., no ticket needed). A short drive from Daybreak, Herriman, and South Jordan.

Opening targets are firming up: Alta, Solitude, and Park City Mountain point at Nov 20, Snowbird targets Nov 27, and Deer Valley typically opens in early December.
