Right now: The Utah State Fair is in its final stretch, running through Sept 20 at the Fairpark. Sep 19: Sandy Heritage Festival & Horse Parade in Historic Sandy, plus Festa Italiana and the 9th & 9th Street Festival. Sep 24-26: FanX Salt Lake at the Salt Palace. The Halloween season is opening early: Gardner Village WitchFest runs Sept 18-Oct 31, and the corn mazes are at peak with Cornbelly's, Hee Haw, Kuwahara's in Draper, and The Kinlands in Riverton (through Oct 25). Oct 3: Daybreak Oktoberfest. Oct 5: Herriman Howl. Oct 15-17: Draper City Haunted Trail. SoJo Summerfest (South Jordan)

Lehi Round-Up Week

Concluded — 2026 SeasonSandy's 9,000-seat outdoor amphitheater wrapped its 2026 season in early September, closing with Air Supply (Sep 2) and their timeless soft-rock classics. Highlights of the final month included Lewis Brice (Aug 20), Gavin DeGraw & Lisa Loeb (Aug 21), ZZ Top (Aug 18), and NeedToBreathe (Aug 15-16). Passed — August 7-8, 2026The 19th Annual Sandy City Hot Air Balloon Festival was a wonderful weekend of morning launches from Storm Mountain Park and the magical Saturday evening Balloon Glow at South Towne Promenade with a drone display. Next year's 20th anniversary will be announced by the city.

Salt Lake Bees Baseball at Daybreak
Passed — Through August 9, 2026The Salt Lake Bees wrapped up their inaugural home series at the spectacular new Ballpark at America First Square in Daybreak. The ballpark in the heart of Downtown Daybreak was a wonderful addition to the community. Check the Bees' 2027 schedule for their return to Daybreak next season.

801 Day — Salt Lake City
Passed — August 1, 2026A celebration of Salt Lake City's area code and homegrown culture with a beer garden, live music, a local artisan marketplace, and a new mural unveiling downtown. Huge turnout this year. Next year's event will be announced by the city.

Alpine Days
Passed — August 8-15, 2026Alpine's signature summer celebration featured a PRCA rodeo at Lambert Park Rodeo Grounds, carnival rides, live concerts, a water day, a car show, and a parade through this charming mountain-base community. Park City Kimball Arts Festival
Passed — August 7-9, 2026Held on historic Main Street in Park City, this nationally recognized fine arts festival featured over 200 artists from across the country. Live music, gourmet food, and a sidewalk art gallery made for a wonderful mountain weekend. Next year's festival will be announced in spring 2027.

Ink & Art Fest — Ink Against Cancer
Passed — August 8-9, 2026The unique event at the Utah State Fairpark combining tattoo artistry, live music, and fine art vendors raised funds for cancer research. Next year's event will be announced by the organizers.

Friendly Islands Tongan Festival
Passed — August 14-16, 2026A free three-day celebration of Tongan and Pacific Islander culture at Pioneer Park in downtown Salt Lake City. The Friendly Islands Tongan Festival featured traditional music and dance, authentic cuisine, a Kids' Corner with activities, and artisan arts and crafts. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich cultural diversity that makes the Wasatch Front such a vibrant place to live. Next year's event will be announced by the organizers.

NeedToBreathe at Sandy Amphitheater
Passed — August 15-16, 2026The Grammy-nominated American rock band brought their signature blend of Southern rock, folk, and soul to Sandy's 9,000-seat outdoor amphitheater for two nights. Known for anthemic hits like "Brother" and "Multiplied," NeedToBreathe delivered a high-energy, heartfelt live show that filled the mountain air with music. Pioneer Day Celebrations
Passed — July 24, 2026Utah's state holiday marked the arrival of pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley. Communities across the Wasatch Front hosted spectacular parades, rodeos, fireworks, cookouts, and neighborhood block parties. Days of '47, American Fork Steel Days, and Spanish Fork Fiesta Days all wrapped up the weekend of July 25. Mark your calendar for 2027!

Salt Lake Liberty Park Concert Series
Passed — July 20 – August 17, 2026Free multicultural live performances every Monday evening (7:00 – 9:00 p.m.) at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Each week featured music and dance from a different cultural community — a wonderful way to experience the diversity that makes the Wasatch Front so vibrant. The series has concluded for the season.

Draper Concerts in the Park
Concluded — June – August 2026Free weekly concerts every Wednesday evening (7:00 – 8:30 p.m.) at Draper Historic Park. A wonderful midweek tradition featuring local bands against the backdrop of the Wasatch foothills. The 2026 season has concluded for the year; check back in spring 2027 for next summer's schedule.

LiveDAYBREAK Summer Concert Series
Concluded — June – August 2026Free summer concerts at America First Square on the Rio Tinto Kennecott Stage in Downtown Daybreak. These lakeside shows were a wonderful way for the Daybreak community to come together under the summer sky.

Red Butte Garden Outdoor Concert Series
Concluded — June – August 2026Salt Lake City's premier outdoor concert venue at the University of Utah wrapped its 2026 concert season in late August, closing with Utah native Brandon Flowers of The Killers at the stunning garden amphitheater. Indian Food Fair at Liberty Park
Passed — August 15, 2026A vibrant celebration of Indian culture at Liberty Park in downtown Salt Lake City. The Indian Food Fair featured authentic cuisine from dozens of vendors, traditional music and dance performances, cultural exhibits, and family-friendly activities. Magna Main Street Arts Festival

Bluffdale Old West Days

Avenged Sevenfold with Good Charlotte

Daybreak Cove Night Market (August 25)
Passed — August 25, 2026The second and fourth Tuesday night market at The Cove House in Daybreak featured local artisan vendors, food trucks, and a relaxed lakeside evening in the heart of South Jordan's master-planned community. The summer season of bi-weekly markets has been a highlight of Daybreak's community calendar.

Urban Arts Festival
Passed — August 22, 2026Salt Lake City's Urban Arts Festival celebrated local muralists, street artists, live graffiti demonstrations, music, and food vendors in a vibrant downtown setting. SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre Summer Musicals

Herriman Howl
October 5, 2026, 5-8 p.m.Herriman's annual Halloween celebration returns Monday, October 5, at J. Lynn Crane Park & Plaza (12998 S Fort Herriman Pkwy). Free admission and activities, with a costume show-and-tell, games, roaming characters, and the Monsters & Minions Train Ride. The event regularly draws more than 6,000 guests and is one of the friendliest family Halloween nights in the south valley.

Daybreak Oktoberfest

Draper City Haunted Trail
October 15-17, 2026, 4:30-10 p.m.Draper City's family-friendly Haunted Trail runs Thursday through Saturday, October 15-17, at Ballard Arena (1600 E Highland Dr). Opening targets: NovemberThe ski season is on sale and the first opening targets are firming up: Park City Mountain targets Friday, November 20, Solitude is also pointing at November 20, Snowbird sets a tentative November 27 opening day, and Alta and Brighton typically follow in early December. Payson Golden Onion Days

Get to the River Festival
September 2026A month-long series of outdoor recreation, conservation, arts, and cultural events along the 50-mile Jordan River Parkway stretching from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake. The Get to the River Festival features guided nature walks, river cleanups, paddle trips, bike rides, art installations, and community gatherings at parks throughout Salt Lake County, including stops in Daybreak, South Jordan, West Jordan, and Sandy. Cornbelly's Sunflower Festival (Thanksgiving Point)
Late August – SeptemberThanksgiving Point's sunflower fields in Lehi reach their peak in late August and early September. Sandy Heritage Festival
September 19, 2026Sandy City's annual celebration of local history and community heritage returns Saturday, September 19, with the famous Horse Parade down the streets of Historic Sandy at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Heritage Festival at Main Street Park with live music, pioneer demonstrations, food vendors, pony rides, bounce houses, face painting, a history walking tour, and family activities. Utah State Fair
September 10-20, 2026The 170th annual Utah State Fair returns to the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City for 11 days of carnival rides, livestock exhibitions, competitive arts and crafts, live entertainment, unique vendors, and classic fair food. The Utah's Own Rodeo kicks things off September 5-8. A beloved tradition for generations of Wasatch Front families and a perfect way to welcome the fall season.

The Kinlands Pumpkin Patch
September 12 - October 25, 2026Right in our own service area: the Kinlands in Riverton opens September 12 and runs through October 25 with free admission, wagon rides, a corn pit, pumpkins, and apple treats. A low-key, wonderfully local alternative to the big farm festivals, minutes from South Jordan and Daybreak.

Outdoor Concerts & Movies in the Park
Free musical performances and movie screenings filled city parks throughout South Jordan, Draper, Sandy, and Herriman from June to August. The 2026 park-concert season has concluded across the south valley. As the weather cools, cities switch to fall programming: think harvest festivals, Halloween events, and the first tree-lighting announcements.
